My love of art began at a young age and has continued to develop in spurts in a variety of ways and mediums. In high school, I was introduced to and inspired and influenced by Japanese anime (animation) and manga (comic books/graphic novels). I began drawing more seriously at that time and began to develop my own style of sketching and marker work.

     My current goals in this area are to pursue more professional training and ways to showcase my work. I want to start painting again and create large scale work.

My Resume in this area is developing as I am currently in the beginning stages of turning a personal hobby into a more serious professional pursuit.

My Drawings are usually very simple - pencil, pen, and markers (primarily Prismacolors) on paper - and I am very committed to this by-hand method.

In Photography, I am an amateur, but my love for this art form is rapidly growing. My recent time in Japan and other travels abroad have given me opportunities to hone my skills. I love the attempt to capture the essence of a place or a person in one or two shots.

Most of my professional experience in art is in Graphic Design and PR work. I've created flyers, posters, and logos combining my original drawings, mixed media, and Adobe Photoshop. I want to pursue more training and professional work in this medium as most of my knowledge I learned on my own or from other individuals.

The Misc. section contains my work in other areas such as painting, collage, video and film production, my training in traditional Japanese arts such as tea ceremony, calligraphy, and Taiko (or Wadaiko) drumming, and multi-media projects.
